The Huntington North High School varsity volleyball team pushed through visiting Homestead in four games, with scores of 25-13, 19-25, 25-21, 25-17 on Wednesday, Sept. 16.

The team, 12-6, was helped in scoring by Ashli Rice, who had seven aces. Melissa Grossman had 14 kills and four blocks, Sara Wegmann had 11 kills, Morgan Broderick had 23 digs and Allie Zahm had 38 assists.

The junior varsity squad, 9-5, also defeated Homestead, in two games, scoring 25-23, 25-20.

Jessica Morgan had five kills and five aces, Taylor Hiers had four digs, Gretchen PeGan had four digs and Kayla Koch had 18 assists.

The freshman volleyball team fell to Homestead in three sets, with scores of 19-25, 25-21, 14-15.

The freshman squad, 3-4, was aided in scoring with Marisa Kitt and Josie Eckert each having four aces.

Kitt also had four digs, Alexis Wygant had six kills and Audrey Hiner had 16 assists.
