With 10 kills and two aces, Ashli Rice helped lead the Huntington North High School varsity volleyball team to victory over host Northfield in a sweep of three games, with scores of 25-20, 25-23, 25-23, on Tuesday, Sept. 15.
In addition to Rice, other team leaders included Allie Zahm with 31 assists; Melissa Grossman, with seven kills and three blocks; Morgan Broderick, with two aces and 19 digs; and Este Stoffel with 13 digs.
The team is now 11-6 in the season.
The junior varsity volleyball team also defeated Northfield in three games, with scores of 20-25, 25-18, 15-9.
Gretchen PeGan had six kills, Kayla Koch had 13 assists, Jessica Morgan served six aces and Taylor Hiers had six digs.
The junior varsity squad is now 8-5 for the season.
