CMS 7 boys fall in NELMSC tourney finals

The Crestview Middle School boys' seventh grade basketball team fell to visiting Riverview, 38-24, in the championship game of theSeventh Grade Boys' Northeast Lakes Middle School Conference (NELMSC) tournament on Saturday, Jan. 26.

The Cougars, 9-11, were led by Collin Landrum's seven points, Austin Spahr's five and four apiece by Ian McCutcheon and Mason Landrum.

In the semifinals, Crestview took Lakeview into overtime, winning 42-40.

Collin Landrum headed the team's offensive effort with 10 points, followed by Trent Cissell's nine, Logan Moreland's eight and Mason Landrum's six.

The eighth grade team lost in the semifinals of the Eighth Grade Boys NELMSC tournament to Lincoln, 43-22.

Hunter Hollowell put in 12 points for the Cougars, 16-5.
