North pushes hard but falls in four at volleyball regional

Huntington North pushed hard but Carroll proved too much and stopped the Lady Vikings in four games at the Huntington North Volleyball Regional on Tuesday, Oct. 23.

Finishing at 21-14 on the season, the Lady Vikings lost 22-25, 20-25, 25-23, 19-25 to a Carroll team that is now 27-8 going into the Huntington North Semi-State on Saturday, Oct. 27.

Senior Alexis Wygant led the Lady Vikings with 15 kills, and juniors Josie Beaver and Jessie Drew each added 10.

Senior Allyson Trout passed out 28 assists on the evening for the Lady Vikes.

Carroll's high-flying net attack got 20 kills from Audrey Mallers, 16 from Charlotte Conser and 15 from Jaqueline Quade.
