Foresters place 6th of 19 at NAIA Midwest Fall Classic

Shooting matching scores of 311 on both days, the Huntington University men's golf team wrapped up the fall portion of its schedule by placing sixth out of 19 teams at the NAIA Midwest Fall Classic on Monday, Oct. 15, and Tuesday, Oct. 16.

The Foresters' total of 622 was 28 shots off the winning score fired by Ashford. Mount Mercy was second with a 596, Marian was third with a 597, Grand View was fourth with a 605 and Nebraska Wesleyan was fifth with a 608.

Freshman Rylan Porter paced the Foresters with a 10-over-par 152 to finish tied for 17th place overall.

Devin Dale carded a 12-over 154 to share a spot at 24th, Josh Teulker finished with a 157 for a 33rd place tie and Mickey Belt tied for 44th with a 159.

Lance Hoch was non-scorer with a 170 for a 76th place tie.

The tourney was played at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, IL.
