CMS volleyball teams beat Wawasee

The Crestview Middle School eighth grade volleyball team lost the first game, but reeled off two straight victories to defeat host Wawasee on Wednesday, Oct. 10.

The Cougars improve their record to 11-5 with the 19-25, 25-18, 15-14 feat.

The team didn't lack for offensive contributors as Kylie Kaylor had nine kills and four aces and Allyson Mettler had six kills and three aces to go along with two blocks on defense.

The Cougars also got help from Julia Bailey, with three kills, and Jennifer Bartels, with three aces.

The Crestview Middle School seventh grade volleyball team swept host Wawasee in two games on Wednesday, Oct. 10.

The Cougars improve their record to 12-4 with the 25-13, 25-20 victory.

Peyton Butler, Katie Jamison and Katie Paolillo scored 10, 9 and 6 points, respectively.

Kaylee Platt had four kills and Hollyn Anderson and Karmen Koch each chipped in three.

The teams' next matches are in the NELSMC tournament on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 10 a.m. at Warsaw High School.
