Khudziy gets lone 'W' in Forester tennis loss

In the wake of being named to the All-Crossroads League team for the third consecutive year, Huntington University men's tennis player Vlad Khudziy gave the Foresters their lone win against host Tiffin University on Wednesday, Oct. 10.
Khudziy defeated Maximillien Waeters, 6-4, 6-1, at first singles, with Huntington losing the match, 1-8. The Foresters ended the regular season at 5-8.
Diego Inurritegui fell to Luiz Carvalho at second singles, 0-6, 4-6. Jose Hungria lost his third singles match to Kyle Johnson, 0-6, 1-6, and Zakk Sparks lost his fourth singles match to Robbie Ball by that same score. Jacob Cross struggled to find an answer against Brian Coffman at fifth singles, 1-6, 1-6, and it was the same story for Matthew Wilcox at sixth singles, with a 1-6, 2-6 setback to Nicholas Almeida.
In doubles play, Khudziy and Inurritegui came up short against Waeters and Carvalho, 6-8, and Hungria and Sparks went down to Ball and Coffman by the same score. At third doubles, Cross and Wilcox fell 3-8 to Johnson and Leonid Vladimirov.
