Lady Viking golfers fall to Homestead

The Huntington North High School girls' varsity golf team fell to host Homestead 200-179 on Monday, Aug. 24, at the Orchard Ridge Country Club in Fort Wayne.

Kelly Myers led the Lady Vikings with a score of 43. Liz Conley was right behind Myers with a 47. Morgan O'Banion fired a 54, Madie Meese shot a 56 and Laurisa Richard carded a 63.

The medalist for the match went to Homestead's Taylor Lamphier, who shot a 41. In addition to Lamphier, Jasmine Jennings had a 45, Brianna Blumenherst scored a 46, Suzie Reecer came away with a 47 and Karley Dobis had a 50.

The junior varsity squad also fell to the Lady Spartans, 258-203.

Maureen Lund was the frontrunner for the Lady Vikings' junior varsity with a 50. Paige Widener had a 68, Tasha Moon carded a 66 and Shawna Titus shot a 74.
Homestead's junior varsity team was led by Allie Stanley with a 44. Jennifer SirLouis scored a 47, Ashlee Larkey carded a 51 and Emily Olsen had a 61.

The Lady Vikes will travel to North Side High School on Aug. 26, and they will host Columbia City on Sept. 2.
