Hammel signs with Huntington University to continue diamond career

Huntington North High School baseball standout Jamon Hammel recently sign his letter of commitment to continue his career at Huntington University.

Hammel signed his letter of intent on Friday, May 28, in the presence of his parents, Huntington North Head Baseball Coach Russ Degitz and Huntington University Head Baseball Coach Mike Frame.

Hammel's senior season statistics include a .348 batting average, third highest on the varsity squad and second in RBI with 18. He is the Vikings's starting shortstop.

Hammel is the son of Jeff and Marie Hammel.
