Golfers shoot season-best 322 to beat Marion

Huntington North High School's boys' varsity and junior varsity golf teams were in action against Marion, on Thursday, May 28.

The varsity team carded a season-best team score of 322 to beat Marion, which carded a 334.

Top Viking on the day was Neal Hamilton, with a 79. Other scores were Garrett Bracht, 80; Brandon Whitesell, 81; E.J. Tackett, 82 and Tyler Shearer, 98.

The JV team also won its nine-hole match up, carding a 182 to Marion's 207.

Tyler Frederick, who shot a 43, led the Vikes. Other scores were Quinton Flora and Bryan Lageman, who both shot a 46; Jared Hughes, 47 and Luke Smith and Ryan Coble, who both shot a 49.
