Christ the King, 509 Community to have shared March 25 services

Parishioners from Christ the King Episcopal Church will meet Sunday, March 25, at 9:30 a.m. at the 509 Community, 509 E. State St., Huntington, for singing, scripture reading and blessing of palms.

The parishioners from both churches will then proceed from the 509 to Christ the King Episcopal Church, 1224 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, for worship that includes a dramatic reading of the Passion story from the Gospel according to Luke.

The celebrant of the Eucharist will be the visiting Bishop of Northern Indiana, The Right Rev. Dr. Douglas E. Sparks.

The service at Christ the King will start between 9:50 a.m. and 10 a.m. after the procession reaches the church.

On March 29 at 6:30 p.m Maunday Thursday Eucharist will be held. The Good Friday liturgy will be held March 30  at 12:10 p.m.

The Easter Vigil service will be held Saturday, March 31, at 7 p.m. The Easter Eucharist service will be held Sunday, April 1, at 9 a.m.
