Warren festival kicks off holiday season fun

Holiday lights, Christmas trees and seasonal music will set the mood for the Holiday Walk and Festival of Trees in downtown Warren on Friday, Nov. 18, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

More than two dozen decorated trees will be on display at local businesses, with many shops hosting open houses for Christmas.

In addition, the Warren Public Library will hold story times and visitors can make clay ornaments with JH Pottery. TD Wall Trailer Sales will bring a livestock trailer with surprises inside.

The Warren United Church of Christ will offer horse and wagon times and Warren Fitness will sponsor train rides.

Cider, hot chocolate and sweet treats will be available at Assembly Hall.

Friday is also opening night for “Alice in Wonderland Jr.” at the Pulse Opera House, where the curtain will go up at 8 p.m. Tickets for the show can be reserved by visiting www.pulseoperahouse.org or by calling 375-7017.

The Holiday Walk and Festival of Trees is sponsored by Historic Warren.
