Three Huntington Cou-nty Community School Board of Trustee seats are up for grabs this fall.
• School board district 2, which represents parts of Huntington Township as well as Clear Creek and Warren townships. Kevin Patrick, school board president, currently holds this seat. He has announced he will not be running for reelection.
• School board district 3, representing Rock Creek, Salamonie, Jefferson, Wayne and Polk townships. Ben Landrum currently represents this district.
• School board district 5, which represents portions of Huntington Township. This post is currently held by Thomas King.
Individuals interested in running for school board may file a petition of nomination with the county voter registration office (Clerk's office) between July 23 and noon on Aug. 22. Petitions of nomination are available at the offices of the Indiana Secretary of State, Election Division; on the division's website at www.in.gov/sos/elections;  and from county election boards.
Those who file will place their name on the ballot in this fall's general election, on Nov. 4. Those elected will begin their four-year terms on Jan. 1, 2015, and serve through Dec. 31, 2018.

Additionally, the ISBA is holding 10 regional school board candidate forums. There is a cost to attend each forum, which includes a candidate's kit. Registration for the candidate forums may be completed at www.isba-ind . org/meetings/CandidateFo rumReg.htm.
