William C. "Bill" Rose, 81, of Marion, IN and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Monday, May 12, 2014, at 6:38 a.m. at his home.
Mr. Rose graduated from high school in Estill County, KY, in 1954. He was retired from General Motors, in Marion, where he had worked for 30 years. He was a member of the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church, in Marion.
He was born May 3, 1933, in Irvine, KY, to Lorenzo and Beatrice Rice Rose. He married Dorothy Beals on Dec. 31, 1961, in Huntington, and she preceded him in death on March 19, 2004.
Survivors include a son, Derek Tod Rose, of Marion; three daughters, Cami (David) Grenier, of Huntington; Sammi (Darrell) Nelson, of Anderson; and Trina Thigpen, of Peru; and six grandchildren.
Calling is Thursday, May 15, 2014, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A service will be held at the mortuary on Friday, May 16, 2014, at 10 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Rev. Jerry Galloway will officiate. Burial will be at Lancaster Cemetery, Huntington County.
