Frances O. Campbell, 94, of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, at 5:40 a.m. at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester.
Mrs. Campbell was a 1937 graduate of Huntington High School. She served as secretary at St. Peter Lutheran Church and School. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and was active in the Ladies Circle. She was a 40-year member of Ladies Euchre Club and a member of Ladybugs VFW.
She was born July 11, 1919, in Huntington to Frederick Christian and Frances Izola Young Huebner. She marred Edward E. Campbell on Oct. 25, 1941, in Huntington. He preceded her in death on Sept. 16, 1975.
Survivors include a daughter, Rhonda (Donald) Webb, of Huntington; two sons, Edward E. (Diane) Campbell Jr., of Huntington, and Joel B. (Angelita) Campbell, of Chicago, IL; six grandchildren, Edward E. (Linda) Campbell III, Joy (Gary) Hunt, Melissa McCord, Renee (Jason) Mekus, Sara (Adam) Kiefer and Susanna Campbell; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Calling is Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, from 10 a.m. to noon, with a service following at noon, at Deal-Rice Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel, with Allen Goebbert officiating. Private burial will be at a later date at Gardens of Memory, Huntington County.
