The Huntington North High School boys' freshman basketball team wraps up play in 2013 at 3-3.
The Vikings picked up their first win in their second contest of the season, trouncing host Southwood, 44-14, on Friday, Dec. 6.
Garrett Heaston led Huntington North with 13 points and six rebounds. Pat Miller chipped in 11 points, Luke Pulver paired six points with as many steals and four assists and Nolan Betterly added six points.
The Vikings made it two in a row with a 52-37 victory over visiting Logansport on Monday, Dec. 9.
Uriah DeWeese paced Huntington North with 15 points and five boards. Betterly contributed 10 points, Heaston notched nine and Pulver produced eight points and seven assists.
Coach Sam Ryan's squad saw its modest win streak snapped with a 46-33 loss to host New Haven on Wednesday, Dec. 11.
Pat Miller netted 10 points and made four steals for the Vikings. Heaston posted six points and eight rebounds, Betterly tallied six points and Pulver recorded five points and four swipes.
Huntington North got back in the win column with a 38-34 squeaker over host North Side on Thursday, Dec. 19.
Matt Guhl put in nine points and grabbed six steals, Pulver netted eight points and made four assists and Heaston totaled eight points and four swipes.
The Vikings fell to .500 on the season with a 39-31 loss to visiting Richmond on Friday, Dec. 20.
Betterly paired 14 points with four rebounds and Heaston collected eight boards.
