The Huntington County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) and Public Safety Dispatch will conduct a test of the CodeRED Notification System on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 9 a.m.
CodeRED Emergency Notification System is an ultra-high-speed telephone communication service for emergency notifications. CodeRED will allow up to 50,000 individuals to be contacted per hour in the event of an emergency situation.
Examples of emergency notifications include a boil water notice, missing child or evacuation notice.
CodeRED will make up to three attempts to deliver the emergency message to a live person or answering machine.
