The Huntington University women's cross country team captured sixth out of 18 teams at the Hanover College Division III Pre-National Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 5.
Gretchen Spahr crossed the 5-kilometer line in 23:16 to take 18th place out of 228 runners.
Hannah Moore was next for the Foresters, finishing 25th in 23:30. Running within a second of each other, Cendall Ogle, at 23:53, and Erin Rockey, at 23:54, placed 38th and 39th, respectively. Natalie Spahr ran a 25:07, good for 82nd place, while Miranda Boyts clocked in at 26:12 for 112th place.
Trinity University ran away with the women's title with 44 points. Other teams to place ahead of Huntington included Lewis, 73; St. Scholastica, 139; DePauw, 153; and Loras, 168.
