James Earl Love, 56, of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at 2:25 p.m. at Parkview Huntington Hospital.
Mr. Love, a former resident of Marion, graduated from Marion High School in 1975 and from Southern Arkansas University in Camden, AR, as a certified mechanic in 1982.
He served in the United States Army's 82nd Airborne Division, based in Fort Bragg, NC, and marched in the 1977 inaugural parade for President Jimmy Carter. He served in the United States Army Reserve for four years. He had been employed by the city of Van Nuys, CA, and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2689, Huntington.
He was born July 28, 1957, in Marion to Edwin R. and Barbara A. Kimball Love. His mother survives in Huntington.
Additional survivors include two brothers, G. Michael (Brenda Mixson) Love, of Plant City, FL, and Christopher B. (Janelle Jacobs) Love, of Huntington; and a sister, Susan K. Love, of Bonita Springs, FL.
Calling is Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. Burial will be at Estates of Serenity, in Marion, with military rites conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2689.
