The Huntington County 4-H Fair Association is teaming up with Salamonie Mills and Central States Grain, in conjunction with area farmers, for the Second Annual 2013 fall harvest fund-raiser, Agriculture Helping 4-H.
The 4-H Fair Association, along with Salamonie Mills and Central States Grain, will visit with area farmers this fall to collect their tax-deductible donations of grain.
It is asked that fair board members be contacted if you are willing to donate grain directly from the field or farm.
Grain not being picked up on the farm can still be donated throughout the year at Salamonie Mills facilities including Warren, Simpson and Markle or at Central States Grain in care of the Huntington County 4-H Association.
Proceeds from the grain drive will be used for a variety of infrastructure projects at the fair grounds for the upcoming 2014 4-H fair.
