Dorothy M. Sprunger, 94, of Bluffton, IN, and having Huntington, IN, relatives, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at 2:20 p.m.at River Terrace Estates, Bluffton.
Mrs. Sprunger was active with the Siloam Springs United Methodist Church in Siloam Springs, AR. She was also a member of the First Reformed Church in Bluffton, DAR and was a past member of the Psi Iota Psi sorority. She graduated form Bluffton High School in 1937.
She was born July 31, 1919, in Lancaster Township to Charles and Bertha Graden Maddux. She married Frederick D. Sprunger on April 6, 1941, in the home of her parents. Her husband survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Susan (Steve) Hart, of Huntington; a son, F. Thomas (Barbara) Sprunger, of Jenks, OK; five grandchildren, Charles (Lynette) Hart, David (Eugenia) Hart, Emily (Michael) Smith, Daniel (Melissa) Sprunger, and Mitchell (Heather) Sprunger; and seven great-grandchildren.
Calling is Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel, 3220 E. Ind.-124, Bluffton, with a service following immediately after at 11. Dr. Bryson E. Bell and Rev. Jerry Qualls will conduct the service, with assistance of Mrs. Sprunger's brother-in-law, Vaughn Sprunger. Burial will take place at Six Mile Cemetery, Bluffton.
