Several Parkview Huntington Hospital departments were recently recognized with the 2013 Professional Research Consultants (PRC) Excellence in Healthcare Awards.
The awards are based on patients' perception of care and were presented to Parkview Huntington leaders at the PRC Client Education Conference in Orlando, FL.
Five-Star awards were presented to nine departments at Parkview Huntington Hospital: Inpatient Care, Outpatient Therapy, Outpatient Diagnostic, Radiology, Emergency Department, Outpatient Care, Laboratory, Pulmonary and Surgery.
Five-Star award winners scored in the top 10 percent in the PRC national client database for 2012. These awards are based on the percentage of patients who rate the facility, health care provider, outpatient service line or inpatient unit "Excellent" for the overall quality of care provided. The data was collected through phone interviews conducted by PRC, which is a nationally-known health care marketing research company headquartered in Omaha, NB.
To celebrate the receipt of these awards, Parkview Huntington Hospital leaders served lunch to all employees of the hospital. The lunch took place on Wednesday, July 3, and was catered by Nick's Kitchen.
