Parkview Huntington Hospital honored its volunteers during a volunteer appreciation luncheon on April 30 at St. Peter's First Community Church.
A meal prepared by Parkview Catering was served by the Parkview Huntington Hospital leadership team.
Volunteers were recognized for their service to the hospital, which in 2012 included 156 individuals who provided a total of 22,260 hours of service.
Special recognition and 25-year pins were presented to Opal Poe and Ethel Maples.
Both retired in 2012 after co-managing the PHH Gift Shop for many years.
Both also served as officers of the Parkview Huntington Hospital Guild for many years.
Milestone awards were presented to several volunteers for their accumulated total of volunteer hours.
They included Charlotte Campbell, 13,000 hours; Maples and Poe, 9,000 hours each; Margaret Aufdenkampe and Charlie Campbell, 8,000 hours each; Lela Sale, 6,500 hours; Margie Hunnicutt, 6,000 hours; and Royce Magsig, Mary Parker and Carol Snowden, 3,500 hours each.
