Daniel R. Brubaker, 83, of Huntington, IN, died Monday, April 29, 2013, at 11:57 p.m. at Parkview Huntington Hospital.
Mr. Brubaker was a 1947 graduate of Huntington High School. He worked in maintenance for the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad for 30 years, retiring in 1976. He was a member of the American Legion, of Van Buren; Moose Lodge 837, of Huntington; the Police Athletic League and the National Rifle Association.
He was born Oct. 14, 1929, in Akron to Walter R. and Clara I. Sorgen Brubaker. He married Virginia Moore on Feb. 11, 1949, in Huntington; she preceded him in death on Dec. 23, 1985. He married Patricia Randolph on Dec. 30, 1988, in Huntington; she survives.
Additional survivors include a stepson, Steve Randolph, of Fort Wayne; a stepdaughter, Judith (Jesse) Johnson, of Huntington; three sisters, Shirley (DeWayne) Glass, of North Manchester; Linda DeHaven, of Huntington; and Mary Ellen (Douglas) Davis, of Defiance, OH.
Calling is Thursday, May 2, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington. A service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 3, 2013, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Ray Scribner officiating. Interment will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
