The Boys & Girls Club of Huntington County hosted its annual Kick Butts Day on March 20.
The event is organized by the youth led advocacy group, Voice, to fight the tobacco industry.
Youth involved in Voice are working to expose marketing practices used by big tobacco companies. Kick Butts Day is a national day of youth activism against these companies as other young people are informed of the dangers of tobacco in a fun way.
The Boys & Girls Club's Voice group organized a poster and coloring contest for club members to participate in. All ages were able to take part in the event.
Posters and coloring sheets will be displayed around the club and winning contestants will be recognized with a Voice-sponsored ice cream party.
Voice will also conduct a Campus Cigarette Clean-up on Huntington North's campus during spring break.
