Edna D. Butler, 96, of Ossian, IN, and a former resident of the Van Buren and Warren areas, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at 3:35 p.m. at the Bluffton Regional Medical Center, Bluffton.
Mrs. Butler attended Van Buren High School. She had worked at the B&L Cafe and the Schultz Cafe, both in Van Buren; Don's Truck Stop, Warren; and the Omega Lounge, Huntington.
She was born March 2, 1917, in Grant County to Orval F. and Ival Bell Taylor. She married Jonathan W. Butler on Feb. 29, 1936, and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include four daughters, Bonnie (Ronald) Burns, of Poneto; Pat Bales, of Liberty Center; Sandra Sue (Steven) Brant, of Hermon, ME: and Carolyn Kay Butler, of Tequesta, FL; a son, James (Marlise) Butler, of Libby, MT; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Calling is Friday, March 22, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren. A service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Jason Holt officiating. Interment will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Huntington County.
