Kenneth M. Buckler, 65, of Amboy, IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Mr. Buckler, a 1965 graduate of Oak Hill High School, had worked as a CNC programmer at Dana for more than 40 years. He was also a member of the Sweetser Fire Department for 25 years and an EMT. He was a Vietnam veteran, serving with the United States Army 1st Air Cavalry and earning the Bronze Star Medal, Air Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Combat Infantry Badge.
He was born Feb. 23, 1947, in Burlington, KY, to James and Lucille Stephens Buckler. He marred Dorothy Travis on May 29, 1969, and she survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, James Buckler, of Sweetser, and Jesse (Cathy) Buckler, of Kimmell; a daughter, Kristina (David) Brown, of Huntington; two brothers, Larry (Sharon) Buckler, of Florida, and Gary (Sandy) Buckler, of Sweetser; and 10 grandchildren, Kelly, Kayla, Luke, Maria, Aaron, Samuel, Matthew, Ashley, Roxy and Wila.
Calling is Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 Kem Road, Marion. A service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Shawn Easterling officiating. Burial will be at Grant Memorial Park, Marion.
