John Julian Klingenberger

John Julian Klingenberger, 69, of Roanoke, IN, died Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at 3:30 a.m., at North Woods Village in Fort Wayne.

Mr. Klingenberger graduated from Bishop Luers High School and Indiana University. He was employed for many years at Huntington Herald Press and the Roanoke Courier as a reporter and photographer, winning many awards for his articles and pictures. He then worked at Heartland REMC as the marketing director.

He was born on June 12, 1951, to Jack and Ethel Schnelker Klingenberger.

Survivors include a daughter, Molly (Erich) Rommel; two sons, Jake Klingenberger and Luke Klingenberger; two sisters, Sue (Bruce) Keller and Jeanne Hohenstein; and three granddaughters.

Calling will take place on Thursday, March 4, from 2 to 5 p.m. and again from 6 to 8 p.m., at Roanoke Memorial Chapel. There will also be a calling on Friday, March 5, from 9 to 10 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Roanoke, immediately followed by the Funeral Mass. Rev. Dale Bauman will officiate.
