Sister Sharon Rose Eshleman, OLVM

Sister Sharon Rose Eshleman, OLVM, 84, of the St. Anne Community Victory Noll, died at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne, on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021.

Sister Sharon Rose entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on Sept. 5, 1959, and made first vows on Aug. 5, 1962.  She served in the missions in Virginia, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Utah and New Mexico. She served in religious education, although her specialty became bereavement ministry.  In 1989, the Leadership Team invited her to return to Victory Noll to serve as the secretary and then in 1999, to be the librarian for the Victory Noll Library. She continued to do bereavement ministry as a hospice volunteer.

She was born in Adrian, MN, on May 9, 1936, to Lester and Genevieve Fix Eshleman.

Survivors include two brothers, along with her Victory Noll sisters with whom she shared life and ministry for 61 years.

Services will take place on Thursday, March 4, 2021. Services will be for the sisters only and will be live-streamed.  Contact victorynoll@olvm.org for the live-stream link.

McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, is in charge of arrangements.

Burial will be at Victory Noll Cemetery, in Huntington.
