Norma Duncan Kitt

Norma Duncan Kitt, 94, of Pittsboro, IN, and formerly of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021, at her daughter’s residence.

Mrs. Kitt graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1943. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, a 50-year member of the Eastern Star and a church choir member for over 30 years.

She was born on Aug. 22, 1926, in Fort Worth, TX, to Frederick E. and Lilah Griffith Duncan. She married C. William Kitt on May 13, 1945.  He preceded her in death on July 6, 1988.

Survivors include three daughters, Susan (Steve) Landrum, of Huntington, Sandy Maples, of Pittsboro, and Sarah (Gerry) Searles, of Alvarado, TX; 10 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kay Ellen Kitt.

A funeral service will take place on Monday, Jan. 25, 2021, at 10:30 a.m., at First Presbyterian Church, 50 E. Tipton St., Huntington, with Rev. John Beehler officiating. McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, Huntington, is in charge of arrangements.

Burial will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery, Huntington.

Due to the current executive order, masks and social distancing are required at the funeral service and burial.
