Ethel M. Swaim, 89, of Huntington, IN, died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021, at Markle Health & Rehabilitation.
Mrs. Swaim graduated from Coesse High School with the class of 1949. She retired from Warren Auto Truck Plaza after 30 years of service. She was also a former Cub Scout leader.
She was born on July 26, 1931, in Columbia City, to Clarence and Florence Minnick.
Survivors include a son, Jay T. (Earlene) Swaim, of Huntington; a sister, Martha Fulk, of South Whitley; a brother, Billy (Wilma) Minnick, of Coesse; three grandsons, Sean (Tami) Swaim, of Williamsport, Tim Veatch, of Andrews and Tom Veatch, of Huntington; a granddaughter, Amy Tackett, of Huntington; and three great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jack Swaim.
Calling will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021, from noon to 2 p.m., at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A funeral service will immediately follow with Rev. Brunk Conley officiating. Masks and social distancing are required. The funeral home is limited to a 50-person capacity at this time.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Huntington.
