Edward E. Campbell Jr.

Edward E. Campbell Jr., 74, of Huntington, IN, died Monday, Jan. 11, 2021, at 6:13 p.m., at Parkview Huntington Hospital in Huntington.

Mr. Campbell graduated from Huntington High School in 1964. He served in the U.S. Army. He retired in 2001 as an engineer from Shuttleworth and he previously worked at Magnetek of Huntington, Memcor of Huntington and Bowmar Instruments of Fort Wayne. He was a life long member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, was a member of VFW Post No. 2689, American Legion Post No. 7 and the Izaak Walton League. He also volunteered for the Huntington Robotics Club 1501.

He was born on Oct. 15, 1946, in Huntington, to Edward and Frances Huebner Campbell. He married Diane L. Bumgardner on March 29, 1969, in Huntington. She survives in Huntington.

Additional survivors include a son, Edward E. (Linda) Campbell III, of Huntington; a daughter, Joy L. Campbell, of Huntington; a sister, Rhonda Lynn (Donald R.) Webb, of Huntington; a brother, Joel B. (Angelita) Campbell, of Wheeling, IL; two grandsons, Nicholas Owczarzak and Preston Campbell; and four granddaughters, Morgan E. Miller, Megan Green, Ashley Wenger and Brittney Campbell.

He was preceded in death by a son, Earl L. Campbell.

Calling will take place on Friday, Jan. 29, 2021, from 10 a.m. to noon, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 648 N. LaFontaine St., Huntington. A funeral service will immediately follow with Rev. Timothy Lorenz officiating. Bailey-Love Mortuary, Huntington, is in charge of arrangements.

A private burial will take place in Marion National Cemetery in Marion.
