Rex O. Keiser

Rex O. Keiser, 86, of Huntsville, AL, and with ties to Huntington County, died on Monday, Nov. 9, 2020, at Crestwood Medical Center.

Mr. Keiser was a 1953 graduate of Union Center High School, in Huntington County. He served in the U.S. Army and worked in manufacturing after he was discharged. He also became part of the ownership group at National Friction Products in Logansport.

He was born on Nov. 1, 1934, in Huntington, to Owen Keiser and Ione Gable Fordyce. He married Nancy S. Hosler on Aug. 22, 1954, at the St. Peter Evangelical & Reformed Church in Huntington. She survives.

Additional survivors include four children, Tim (Jan) Keiser, of Ankeny, IA, Jeff (Dawn) Keiser, of Ankeny, IA, Cindy (Dave Roten) Pond, of Morgantown, and Andy (Susie) Keiser, of Rochester; a brother, Jack (Jeanne) Keiser, of Clearwater, FL; five grandchildren, Aaron Keiser, Jason (Amy) Keiser, Blake (Liz) Keiser, Amber (Matt) Fjelland and Samantha (Micahel) Strantz; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Plans for a celebration of life gathering are pending with Berryhill Funeral Home in Huntsville, AL, and Rans Funeral Home in Royal Center.
