Karen L. Rice Gordon

Karen L. Rice Gordon, 76, of Albany, IN, and with ties to Huntington County, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020, at 4:08 a.m., at Albany Health Care in Albany.

Mrs. Gordon attended the Washington Township Schools and Hartford City High School. She had previously worked at Pierce Govenor in Upland, the United Methodist Memorial Home in Warren and for the vending company at General Motors.

She was born on Dec. 17, 1943, in Blackford County, to Lloyd I. and Elsie L. Harrold Rice. She was formerly married to Jack Moore, who preceded  her in death.

Survivors include two sons, Jack (Tammy) Moore, of Montpelier, and Lloyd I. Moore, of Dunkirk; a daughter, Pamela (Martin) Ingram, of Montpelier; a son-in-law, Jay D. Miller, of Dunkirk; a sister, Madonna (Max) Jones, of Hartford City; a brother-in-law, Ron Hartley, of Hartford City; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith K. Miller.

Calling will be held on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier. A funeral service will immediately follow the calling with Ryan Ingram officiating. Interment will follow in the Hartford City Cemetery in Hartford City. Those in attendance are asked to practice social distancing while in the funeral home.
