Clifford L. Webb

Clifford L. Webb, 97, of North Manchester, IN, and formerly of Bippus, IN, died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2020, at Peabody Retirement Community.

Mr. Webb served in the United States Army during WWII as a machinist, receiving four combat stars for bravery during the war. He was co-owner of the W & W Meat Locker in Bippus and was a member of New Hope United Church of Christ. He was a volunteer fireman in Bippus for 33 years and coached little league for 25 years.

He was born on Nov. 17, 1922, in Huntington, to Herbert and Jenny Carl Webb. He married Jean M. Wood on Oct. 17, 1942, in Huntington. She preceded him in death on June 18, 2002. He later married Evelyn Greer in 2003 at the Servia United Church of Christ. She preceded him in death in 2018.

Survivors include two sons, Bill (Rita) Webb, of Kendallville, and John (Jeanie) Webb, of Syracuse; three daughters, Christine Webb, of Angola, Angie Webb, of Indianapolis, and Caroline (Paul) Howard, of North Manchester; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Private family services are being held due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Servia.
