Cheryl L. Poling

Cheryl L. Poling, 63, of Huntington, IN, died Monday, Oct. 26, 2020, at 8 a.m. at her residence.
Ms. Poling graduated from Berrien Springs High School in 1975 and then earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Huntington College. She retired from EcoLab, formerly Huntington Lab, after 35 years of service as a Lab Technician. She was a member of Faith Community Church of God where she sang in the choir, had served as Sunday school superintendent and sound technician in the past, and was currently the church treasurer. She volunteered at the ReStore, The Indiana Room at the public library and was a past member of the Huntington Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was also a Matthew 25 Volunteer at Victory Noll Center and the Pins & Needles sewing group making quilts and other items. She crocheted hundreds of hats, mittens and scarves for the homeless, for school children and for pregnancy centers.

She was born on Aug. 1, 1957, in Huntington, to Harold E. and Margaret A. Chambers Poling. Her mother survives in Niles, MI.  

Additional survivors include four sisters, Becky (Kent) Fahl, of Berne, Nancy (Tom) Rach, of Comitan, Mexico, Janet (Brett) Elms, of Niles, MI, and Ruthie (Michael) Clanton, of Niles, MI.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020, at 11 a.m., at the Faith Community Church of God, 3615 N. Norwood Road, Huntington.
