Cletus J. Fritz

Cletus J. Fritz, 86, of Fort Wayne, IN, and with family in Huntinton, IN, died Thursday, Oct. 29, at 10 a.m. at his home.

Mr. Fritz graduated from Brighton High School and received his Associate degree from AIB in Des Moines, IA. He was an accountant with Safety Kleen.  He belonged to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Roanoke, where he was a member in the men’s club.  He was also a cabinet maker and woodworker.

He was born June 1, 1934, in Brighton, IA, to Michael and Gertrude Arnd Fritz. He married October 10, 1959 he married Beverly Votzmeier in Fort Madison, IA. She survives in Fort Wayne.

Additional survivors include three daughters, Michelle (Dennis) Ely, of Roanoke, Julie (Larry) Lickey, of Huntington, and Alicia (Duane) Reynolds, of Grove City, OH; a son, Alan (Heather) Fritz, of Madison, AL; a daughter-in-law, Johanna (Jeff) Fritz-Killian; a brother, Sylvester Fritz, of Brighton, IA; 12 grandchildren; and a step great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Fritz.

Calling will be held Monday, Nov. 2, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., with a funeral mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Roanoke to follow. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Roanoke.
