Carmen F. Vaught

Carmen F. Vaught, 83, of Butler, IN, and formerly of Huntington, IN, and Angola, IN, died Saturday, Oct. 3, 2020, at Laurels of Dekalb Nursing Home.

Mrs. Vaught was a 1955 graduate of Rock Creek High School. She had worked at Memcor E-Systems for 15 years until their closing and later worked at Magnetek for 15 years until her retirement. She was a member of Loon Creek Church of the Brethren where she was a member of the choir.

She was born on Sept. 9, 1937, in Huntington County, to Frank and Gladys Rittenhouse Ralston. She married Jerald Vaught on Oct. 29, 1955, in Huntington County, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 2019.

Survivors include a son, Terry (Sherry) Vaught, of Mansfield, OH; a daughter, Delena (Wayne) Taylor, of Angola; a brother, Marvin (Linda) Ralston, of Fort Wayne; three sisters, Gloria (James) Hudlo, of Fort Wayne, LaDonna (Robert) Jackson, of Fort Wayne, and Wanda (Terry) Helser, of Annapolis, MD; and two grandchildren, Amy Taylor and Reese Vaught.

She was preceded in death by five grandsons.

Calling will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2020, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington. A funeral service will follow after visitation.
Interment will be at the Star of Hope Cemetery.

Those in attendance are asked to follow the CDC’s guidelines for social distancing and face coverings.
