Lee R. Shuman

Lee R. Shuman, 60, of Bluffton, IN, and with ties to Huntington, IN, died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2020, at 9:09 a.m. at his residence in Bluffton.

Mr. Shuman was a 1978 graduate of Blackford High School. He worked at Sterling Casting in Bluffton, Meridian Co. in Huntington and Penda Form in Bluffton.

He was born on Oct. 3, 1959, in Blackford County, to Richard L. and Lowella J. Fisher Shuman. He married Christina L. Kershner Shuman on Sept. 4, 2004, in Montpelier, and she survives.

Additional survivors include a son, Todd L. (Elizabeth) Shuman, of Bluffton; five daughters, Misty (Larry) Kincaid, of Liberty Center, Christy (Jon) Lancaster, of Montpelier, Amanda (Jeremy) Thomas, of Dunkirk, Brandy (Travis) Handshoe, of Decatur, and Jennifer Cook, of Uniondale; two sisters, Joyce Shuman and Kim Shuman; two brothers, Adam Shuman and Perry Shuman; a father-in law and mother-in-law, Bill and Lavina Klisavage, of Montpelier; a brother-in-law, Steven Kershner, of Ossian; a sister-in-law, Deanna West, of Mt. Etna; 24 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Maverick L. Oswalt.
 
Calling will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier, and again on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will immediately follow on Thursday with Lavina Klisavage and Margaret Kuchcinski officiating.  Interment will be in the Brookside Memorial Park in Montpelier.

Those in attendance are asked to socially distance and wear a mask while in the funeral home.
