Ricky A. Francoeur

Ricky A. Francoeur, 62, of Markle, died on Monday, July 27, 2020, at his residence.

Mr. Francoeur worked in fabrication and bodywork for many years. He was a volunteer firefighter, EMT and first responder. He was a member of the Awakening Church and served running the camera on the AV team, and was a past member and past president of the Andrews Lions Club.

He was born on May 30, 1958, in Holyoke, MA, to Edward R. and Theresa A. Fontaine Francoeur. He was united in marriage to Eva M. Baker on Feb. 9, 1980, in Granby, MA and she survives.

Additional survivors include four sons, Matthew (Amy Quinn) Diehl, of LaGrange; Andrew (Michelle Mettert) Diehl, of Poneto; Ricky D. Francoeur, of Markle, and Steven Fournier, of Lebanon, TN; a brother: Edward F. (Ellen) Francoeur of Holyoke, MA; a sister, Sandra (Rita Fournier) Francoeur, of Lebanon, TN; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2020, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Awakening Church, 235 Safari Trail, Huntington, with a memorial service to be held immediately following at 3 p.m. Those in attendance are asked to follow the CDC’s guidelines for social distancing and social gathering limits. Arrangements are being handled by Myers Funeral Home, Markle Chapel.
