Lavina 'Rose' Bryant

Lavina "Rose" Bryant, 83, of rural Hartford City, IN, and having family in Warren, IN, died Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at 8:45 a.m. at her residence.

Mrs. Bryant retired in 1992 from Foster-Forbes Glass Company in Marion. She was a member of the Glass Bottle Workers Union and Millard Brown American Legion Auxiliary Post 156. She had resided in Washington Township, Blackford County, since 1965. She formerly attended the Grace Baptist Church in Montpelier and was a member at the Dillman United Brethren Church in Wells County.
 
She was born January 21, 1937, in Proctorville, OH to Norman L. and Elizabeth L. Huffman Stanley.  She married Jasper Bryant on Dec. 31, 1954, in Muncie, and he preceded her in death on March 4, 2012.

Survivors include three sons, Steve Bryant, of Warren, and Mark (Penny) Bryant and Mike Bryant, both of Montpelier; two sisters, Elsie K. Jayne, of St. Louis, MO, and Norma Jean Peterson, of Dunkirk; a daughter-in-law, Gina Bryant, of Warren; seven grandchildren, Sara Fitzpatrick, of Portland, MI; Kristin Light, of Hartford City; Christina Tuell, of Warren; Cullen Bryant and Brandon Bryant, both of Fort Wayne; Justin Bryant, of Montpelier; and Tyler Bryant, of Angola; and nine great-grandchildren.
 
She was preceded in death a son, Tony Bryant, of Warren.
 
Calling is Saturday, June 20, 2020, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday, June 21, 2020, for one hour prior to the 3 p.m. service, at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier. Rev. Jeremy Stults  will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Brookside Memorial Park in Montpelier.
