James D. Myers

James D. Myers, 81, of Lake Alfred, FL., and formerly of Warren, IN, died Sunday, June 7, 2020, at 4:36 p.m. at his son's residence in Hartford City.

Mr. Myers was a 1956 graduate of Montpelier High School and was a former member of the Methodist Church in Montpelier. He retired from Union Brick as a mason. He was a member of the international union of Bricklayers and Allen Craft Workers. He was also a former coach for the Montpelier Little League. He was also a member of the United States Army Reserves.
 
He was born June 12, 1938, in Warren.

Survivors include three sons, Rod Myers, Doug Myers and Roger Myers, all Hartford City; a stepson, Eric Spurlock, of Andrews; a stepdaughter, Cheryl Poe, of Huntington; three brothers, Harry Myers, of Montpelier; Ralph Myers, of Muncie; and John Myers, of Indianapolis; five grandchildren, Obrian Myers, of Goshen; Jessie Myers, of New Palestine; Breanna Myers, of Tucson, AZ; Brooke Myers, of Hartford City; and Mary-Grace Schwarzkopf, of Houston, TX; and one great-grandson.

Private services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
