Ronnie D. Keen

Ronnie Darrell Keen, 62, of Plainfield, IN, and formerly of Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at 10:06 a.m. in Plainfield.

Mr. Keen graduated from Huntington North High School and served in the Indiana National Guard for four years. He worked as a cook at Country Post in Huntington for many years, and he also worked at Subway and International House of Pancakes.

He was born July 14, 1957, in Grundy, VA, to Daryel E. Keen and Elna Vance Lantz and was raised by his mother and stepfather, Lonnie Lantz. His mother survives in Huntington.

Also surviving are a daughter, Tandee (Dane) Buff, of Huntington; two sons, Benjamin Keen and Travis (Cristie) Keen, both of Huntington; three brothers, Rick (Lynn) Vance and Denny Lantz, both of Huntington, and Craig Keen, of New Caney, TX; eight sisters, Debra (Randall) St. Pierre, of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA; Sherry Harts, of Huntington; Sherri Farr, Connie Gautreau and Becky King, all of New Caney, TX; Sheila Black, of Willis, TX; Terri Glover, of Crosby, TX; and Annette (Chris) Kelley, of Cleveland, TX; 14 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and the mother of his children, Lisa Keen.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Heather Keen.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 16, 2020, at noon in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Huntington, with Rev. Matt Snodderly officiating.
