Delbert L. King

Delbert L. King, 102, of Huntington, IN, died Saturday, May 9, 2020, at 6:57 a.m. at Heritage Pointe of Huntington.

Mr. King was a 1937 graduate of Andrews High School He was a lifetime Warren Township farmer and served many years as a chaplain for the Huntington County Jail. He was a member of New Hope Ministries in Roanoke.

He was born Dec. 9, 1917 in Mt. Etna to Wilburn and Orphia Hildebrand King. He married Beulah Jeanette Grossman on April 27, 1941, in Wabash County, and she preceded him in death on Jan. 28, 2009.

Surviving a daughter, Lanna (Michael) Kloer, of Huntington; a grandson, Eric (Andrea) Kloer, of Huntington;and a great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Larry King and Dennis King, and two grandchildren, Andrew Kloer and John Kloer.

Calling is Wednesday, May 13, 2020, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 14, 2020, at 10 a.m. at Bippus Calvary Cemetery in Huntington County, with Rev. Jim Graham and Rev. Bill Rapp officiating.
