Curtis L. Oswalt III

Curtis L. Oswalt III, 67, of Van Buren, IN, died Monday, May 4, 2020, at 2:15 p.m. at his residence.

Mr. Oswalt was a graduate of Marion High School. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Marion. He worked at Coca-Cola in Marion and in Oklahoma. He was carpenter also. He enjoyed gardening, working outside, and doing puzzles.
 
He was born Oct. 26, 1952, in Marion to Curtis L. Jr. and Eudora C. Ulmar Oswalt.  His mother, Eudora C. Taylor, survives in Van Buren. He married Sherri Gotschall on May 15, 1993, in Logansport, and she also survives.

Additional survivors include five daughters, Becki Oswalt, of Van Buren; Amber (Albert) Henderson and Jamie (Marc) Cullun, both of Marion; Elizabeth (Chase) Kahn, of Montpelier; Rachelle Oswalt, of Oklahoma; three sons, Mathew Oswalt, of Van Buren, and Joseph Oswalt and Curtis Oswalt Jr., both of Oklahoma; two brothers, Allen Dale Oswalt, of Michigan, and Gregg L. (Chiole) Oswalt, of Grove, OK; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
 
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Stephanie Oswalt.
 
Calling is Sunday, May 10, 2020, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Ferguson & Glancy Funeral Home in Van Buren. Following the guidelines established by the state of Indiana in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, only 25 people will be allowed in the funeral home chapel at one time. Burial will take place in the Marion National Cemetery.
