Laudie Slone

Laudie Slone, 92, of Huntington, IN, died Monday, March 9, 2020, at 9:46 a.m. at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Slone was a homemaker. She attended the Freewill Baptist Church in Huntington.

She was born Feb. 9, 1928, in Knott County, KY, to Caney and Lilly May Vance Hall. She married Bill Slone on Feb. 27, 1945, in Kentucky, and he preceded her in death on March 4, 1974.

She is survived by four sons, Sterling (Anna) Slone, of Floyd County, KY, and Roger (Norien) Slone, Ranso Slone and Steven (Irene) Slone, all of Huntington; three daughters, Larya Johnson and Lorraine (Dennis) Allen, both of Huntington, and Myrtle (Larry) Hensley, of Lancaster, KY; a sister, Margie Dial, of Knott County, KY; a brother, Orbin Hall, of Huntington; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sons, Paul E. Slone, Morgan Slone and Ozark Slone; and a daughter, Emily Slone.

Calling is Wednesday, March 11, 2020, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 12, 2020, at 1 p.m. at the mortuary, with Brunk Conley officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory in Huntington County.
