Jerry E. Fusselman

Jerry E. Fusselman, 77, of Bluffton, IN, and having ties to Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020, at Bluffton Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Fusselman worked at International Harvester/Navistar in Fort Wayne and Indianapolis for 37 years, retiring on Oct. 1, 2000. He also worked for Grace Insulation and Remodeling in Greenfield for nearly 20 years. He was a member of Warren Church of Christ and sang in church choirs for many years as well as did church maintenance for several years.

He was born Dec. 26, 1942 in Huntington County to Harold and Helen Smith Fusselman. He married Shirley Stults on Oct. 13, 1962, at the Markle Church of Christ, and she survives.

Additional survivors include a son, Marty Fusselman, of Bluffton; two daughters, Cheri (Barry) Young, of Bluffton, and Amy (Michael Sr.) Hoerger, of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Charlotte Longo, of Bluffton, and Betty (Charlie) Bennett, of Liberty Center; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Calling is Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee St., Markle. A funeral service will be held Monday, Feb. 24, 2020, at 10 a.m., with one hour of visitation prior to the service, at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel. Interment will take place at Covington Memorial Gardens in Fort Wayne.
