Ervin Stuber

Ervin Stuber, 100, of Warren, IN, and formerly of Van Buren, IN, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020, at 10:37 a.m. at Heritage Pointe in Warren.

Mr. Stuber was a 1936 graduate of Warren High School. He was a retired Grant County farmer and horseman. He lived his early years in Jackson Township, Wells County. He was a member of the Van Buren United Methodist Church and the Belgian Horse Corporation.
 
He was born March 5, 1919, in Grant County to Roy G. and M. Cleo Certsinger Stuber.  He married Joan Derbyshire on Oct. 11, 1942 in Van Buren, and she preceded him in death.

Survivors include a son, John D. (Lana) Stuber, of Warren; four grandchildren, Lindsay Fish, of Noblesville; John A. Stuber, of Van Buren; Sarah Aulbach, of Tipton; and Jennifer O’Hair, of Pleasant Lake; and eight great-grandchildren.
 
He was preceded in death  by a daughter, Carol Ann Brown.
 
Calling is Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Heritage Pointe Applegate Chapel, 801 Huntington Ave., Warren. A service of celebration will follow immediately after at 4 p.m. at the chapel, with Gerald Moreland officiating. Interment will follow in the Van Buren Cemetery in Van Buren.
