David J. Reust

David James Reust, 78, of Huntington, IN, died. Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020, at 4:45 p.m at his home.

Mr. Reust graduated from Huntington Catholic High School in 1960 and spent his 46-year career at Noll Printing/Our Sunday Visitor in Huntington.

He was born on April 16, 1941, to Henry and Catherine Ness Reust. He married Mary “Toots” Solloway on Feb. 8, 1964, in Huntington, and she survives.

Additional survivors include three daughters, Angela (John) Richert, of Berne; Lisa (Scott) Rosener, of Bargersville; and Julia (Erik) Botts, of Indianapolis; and three sons Rick (Honey Walters) Reust, of Sacramento, CA; Nicholas (Dona) Reust, of Huntington; and Cory (Amy) Reust, of Columbia City; a sister, Mary C. Purdy, of Fort Wayne; three brothers, Mark (Phyllis) Reust and Lee (Marilyn) Reust, both of Huntington, and Harold (Ellie) Reust, of Yoder; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Calling is Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington, with a rosary service at 2:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020, at 10 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry St., Huntington, with Rev. Tony Steinacker and Rev. David Ruppert officiating. There will be one hour of visitation at the church prior to the service. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Huntington.
