Willilam E. 'Bill' Mauller

William E. "Bill" Mauller, 75, of Jonesboro, IN, and having ties to Van Buren, IN, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019, at 10:10 a.m. at his home.

Mr. Mauller graduated from Van Buren High School in 1962. He was the owner-operator of Twin City Motors for 29 years. He attended Maple Run Friends Church and was a member of Gas City Moose Lodge, Roadmaster's Car Club and Fairmount American Legion Post 313.

He was born July 24, 1944, in Marion to William and Esther Buckaloo Mauller. As a teenager, he was adopted into the family of Charles and Betty Mauller. He married Kathy A. Glass on Aug. 5, 1995, and she preceded him in death on Nov. 12, 2014.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna (Rod) Boatwright, of Marion, and Tonya (Randy) Smith of Upland; a son, Brian (Lisa) Mauller, of Swayzee; two half-brothers, William Larry (Marsha) Payne and Jerry (Marsha) Dennisie; a half-sister, Mary Ann (Jessie) Parrie; six grandchildren, Sarah (Ryan) McDaniel of Marion; Jessica (Scott) Justice, Nathan (Mandi) Smith and Aaron Smith, of Upland; Tiffany (Austin) Rausch, of Gas City; and Corry (Merideth) Boatwright; and eight great-grandchildren.

A service of celebration will be held Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019, at 1 p.m. at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, with Rev. John Key officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
